Monster Hunter Portable 3rd Remains at Top

Monster Hunter Portable 3rd sales could pick up even more once the game's PSP bundles are released on February 10.

The dominance of Monster Hunter Portable 3rd continued into the new year as Monster Hunter Portable 3rd topped the Media Create sales charts in the first week of the year.

The PSP title sold an additional 133,562 units last week, bringing its total to just shy of 4 million. Capcom has already announced shipments of 4 million units for the game, which has remained in first place since its December 1 release.

There weren't too many new releases in the beginning of the year. SaGa 3, a DS remake, sold 27,344 units in its debut week.

In hardware, PS3 and Wii topped the charts, although as usual adding up all the DS variations puts DS at top. PSP saw a strange dip to below 30,000 units.
