Doki Doki Suikoden Has Online Battles

Face off against friends near and far in upcoming cosplay simulation.

Irem's PSP cosplay simulation game Doki Doki Suikoden is based off a 2001 April Fool's joke game announcement. To be totally honest, with a premise that involves dressing girls up using over 300 costume parts, including over 50 varieties of underwear and socks, then putting them in battle against enemies where every hit tears off pieces of that clothing, it still seems like it might still be an April Fool's joke.

But there's no laughing about this little bullet point: Doki Doki Suikoden has online battles via infrastructure mode. In addition to the expected ad-hoc support, you'll be able to face off against far off players.

Online retailer Game Star listed the infrastructure support in its product listing for the game (listings like this are usually written by the publisher themselves, so this probably isn't an error). The listing also mentions that the game has 9 heroines (up from the currently revealed 7), and a costume download code as a first print bonus run.

According to Game Star, Doki Doki Suikoden will be released on April 7.
