This all new feature is a dungeon RPG where you work your way down towards the "Abyss" of a multi floor city called Kagutsuchi. By defeating foes, you earn power up items which can be used to power up your character.
If you die in this mode, the game will end and you'll reset back to the starting floor. However, items that you've obtained at least least once in the mode will appear in the game's shop for later purchase, so you'll be able to restart with a powered up character.
