Tekken Tag Tournament 2 Hits AOU Next Week
Fighting revival to appear at upcoming arcade show. The question is, playable or video only?
Namco Bandai will be showing product at next week's AOU Amusement Expo event. The star attraction in the company's booth should be no surprise: Tekken Tag Tournament 2.
The long awaited arcade revival of the early PlayStation 2 title was first announced at last year's Tokyo Game Show. While Namco Bandai has shared an occasional trailer and teaser update here and there, we haven't gotten a proper look at the game in terms of characters or gameplay details.
Namco Bandai's AOU special site confirms that the game will be at the show in some capacity, but does not specify playable or video-only.
The Tekken Tag Tournament 2 listing at the special site mentions "the ultimate character lineup in 3D fighting game history," "new elements indicative of TAG," a new card system, and a robust live monitor system that connects the world.
Other games set to appear in Namco Bandai's booth include Dragon Ball Zenkai Battle Royal, Maximum Heat (a 3D take on Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune), and Pac-Man Battle Royale.
AOU will be held on the 18th and 19th. The first day is press and invite only. The general public can attend on the second day.
