Koihime Musou Reborn as 2D Arcade Fighter
Adventure title to see debut at AOU arcade expo next week.
RCI is readying an arcade fighting game adaptation of adventure series Koihime Musou Otome Ryouran Sangokushi Engi. The game has the temporary name of Shin Koihime Musou Otome Ryouran Sangokushi Engi Arcade Edition.
Koihime Musou Otome Ryouran Sangokushi Engi originates as a 2007 adult PC game. It was later brought to PlayStation 2 in 2008 through Yeti, and was then converted to an anime and comic. The game combines an adventure component where you deepen you're relations with heroines and a battle component where you command those girls in strategic battle.
Details on the arcade conversion are scarce at present, but fans of the series and of fighting games in general may be able to make some guesses based off the high resolution screenshots that RCI shared today.
The character select screen shows at least six characters, including Kanou, Chouhi, Kakouton, Kakouen and Kannei. There are also four empty slots. The fighting screens seem to suggest a tag or support system, as you can see four characters ready for battle.
We should get more details shortly, as the game will be on display in the Annex booth at the AOU 2011 Amusement Expo event on the 18th and 19th at Makuhari.
RCI also opened a teaser site for the game today.
