Last February, Cave made a bunch of announcements at a general Microsoft Shooooooooting event (shown above, Makoto Asada and Junya Inoue). This year, they have an event all to themselves.

The shooting pros at Cave are going to be announcing stuff today at an event in Akihabara. These are some big announcements, it seems, as Cave has dubbed the event "Important News From Cave 2011."

This event is part demo event, part sales corner, part press conference and part job fair. The sales corner will run from 10:00 to 12:00. The press conference will run from 12:30 to 13:30. The demo corner and job fair (for working at Cave, of course!) will run from 13:30 to 17:00.

The main attraction is the press conference. There has been some indication that we could get the announcement of at least three shooters. However, the conference will also cover social games and online games, so there may be stuff even for those who aren't into the bullet hell.

An exact lineup of titles for the demo area has yet to be announced. Cave has only listed some of its in-release games like its various iPhone titles and PC MMORPG Shin Megamitensei Imagine (yes, that's a Cave title). Given the timing of the demo part, it seems likely that some of the press conference announcements could show up for playable demo.
