Make Basic Games on DS Using New DSi Ware App
Turn your DS into a programming tool next month.
Sapporo-based Smile Boom shared details today on Petit Computer, a DSi Ware app that lets players program games directly on their DS system using the BASIC programming language.
Using Petit Computer, you can create programs using a text editor (with an on-screen keyboard), and 13 built in tools for creating character visuals, background map data, graphics and more. The program also includes seven sample programs and three sample games, all done in basic so that they can be used as a starting point for your own apps. Once you've made a program, you can send it out to other players.
This 800 DSi Point app will be available on March 9. Access the official site for a closer look.
