Tokyo continues to suffer from power issues following Friday's earthquake and tsunami. Your Tweet addicted game producers are keeping us clued into what's going on.
From Street Fighter IV series producer Yoshinori Ono comes this Tweet (in English, as usual): "I could not go to R&D. Tokyo's transportation was down. Part of knock out power in Tokyo. We'll be not go back to work as usual for a while."
I'm not sure what he means by "knock out power." Tepco has been staging rolling blackouts according to a fixed schedule (basically, you'll know where and for how long the power will go out). However, many acquaintances have been telling me that these rolling blackouts aren't actually taking place even at their scheduled time.
Hideo Kojima posted yesterday night that he'd be leaving work for power savings. It's unclear if this was a forced outage or if he was just being a good citizen.
What does Hideo Kojima do in the aftermath of an earthquake? He continues to work on his manuscript. The solar cell phone charger Sony Computer Entertainment gave out at the NGP press conference a couple of months back comes in handy here, says Kojima.
