Full List of Game Cancellations

We reported earlier that Famitsu listed a number of Hudson 3DS games as cancelled. The cancellations this week go a bit further than just the 3DS and just Hudson.

Now that I've seen the magazine, here's the full list of cancelations as listed in the release calendar.

• 3DS: Omega Five (Hudson)
• 3DS: Kororinpa Series (Hudson)
• 3DS: Bonk (Hudson)
• 3DS: Bomberman (Hudson)
• WII: Deca Sporta 4 (Hudson)
• WII: Role Playing Game (Konami)
• PS3: New Role Playing Game (Konami)
• PS3: Innovative Action Game (Now Productions)
• PS3: Bass Fishing Life (Hudson)
• PS3: Bonk Brink of Extinction (Hudson)
• X360: Bonk Brink of Extinction (Hudson)
• PS3: Real Boxing (Hudson)
• PS3: Bomberman Live: Battlefest

The magazine did not provide an explanation for these, although we can guess that the Hudson product may be due to Konami's upcoming acquisition (details here). Hudson will be refocusing its focuses on social gaming.

Outside of the Hudson product, it looks like Konami decided to clean up its release chart, getting rid of many of the lingering titles that were announced back when the PS3 and Wii were first unveiled. Given that many of the games that were cancelled didn't even have names, they may have never actually been in development.

All these cancellations come at a somewhat odd time for the release schedule as many games were either delayed or cancelled following the March 11 earthquake. You can read about most of the quake-related delays and cancellations at this topic page.
