Devil Survivor 2 Official Site Opens
Director explains concepts behind 3DS and DS titles.
Atlus opened a teaser site today for Devil Survivor 2. As is normally the case for these early teaser site openings, there's no actual content at the site.
A new entry at the Devil Survivor official blog does prove to be a worthwhile read, though. Penned by director Shinjiro Takada, the post details the concepts behind Devil Survivor 2 and Devil Survivor Over Clock.
Over Clock, a 3DS remake of the original Devil Survivor, is being developed with the intention of adding many new elements to the original. The staff also hopes that because it's coming out on a new system, those who aren't familiar with the series will be more likely to pick it up. They're also taking care to make sure that those who did play the original will be able to enjoy themselves once again thanks to the surprises that await in the new 8th day scenario and the various changes here and there.
Devil Survivor 2 has been developed over two years to be the team's "final masterpiece" for the DS. Takada noted that the game's scale has expanded from the original, which took place in central Tokyo, to all the major cities of Japan. Those who did not play the original Devil Survivor shouldn't worry too much, as the game has a completely new story with no connections to the original or Over Clock.
