Latest One Piece Special Screens and Details

One more look at what's new for the 3DS.

There's still no new final release date to report for One Piece Unlimited Cruise Special, but Namco Bandai was good enough to provide a new look at the game today, complete with lots of screenshots and some details on what's new for the 3DS.

We've summarized most of what's new in past updates, but in case you missed out, here's a recap.

The 3DS version adds the following features over the Wii: new characters, improved interface via the system's lower screen, a new Marineford mode and a new Boss Rush mode.

Marineford mode is a battle focused mode where you experience the franchise's Marineford story arc through battles and 3D recreations of familiar scenes. Boss Rush mode is a survival mode where you select a character and aim for the fastest clear time in a series of fights.

As for the presentation changes, the game benefits from the use of the lower screen to show a quick access item palette and an always on map complete with a marker indicating your current position. You can also switch skills instantly without opening the menu.
