Former Koei CEO Takes Over at Zynga Japan
Kenji Matsubara to lead Japanese branch of social gaming giant.
The new boss at the Japanese branch of social gaming giant Zynga should be a familiar face to gamers. Zynga Japan announced today that Kenji Matsubara will be taking over as CEO starting May 9.
Matsubara is most recognizable from his time at Tecmo Koei Games, where he served as CEO until his resignation, for personal reasons, in November 2010 (details here). Matsubara hails from the Koei side of the company, where he also served as CEO.
Zynga Japan's current CEO, Robert Goldberg, will assume an adviser role following Matsubara's placement.
