The Gloria Union official site opened today as promised (Friday's opening was just a teaser). Visit the site for a music sample and profiles of main character Ishuto and Pinga. You can also sample some voices of the two characters.

The full name for the third entry in the series that includes Yggdra Union and Blaze Union is "Gloria Union: Twin Fates in Blue Ocean." As the name might suggest, the game is based on the high seas.

The background story centers on the Kingdom of Euphoria which sunk into the sea. Before disappearing, its culture was left behind in crystals that were sealed away throughout the world. In present times, pirates travel the seas seeking out this crystal legend.

Main character Ishuto (voiced by Hiro Shimono) is one one such pirate. He and his friend Pinga (voiced by Emiri Kato) were searching around for treasure when they suddenly decided to become pirates.

While the basics of the critically acclaimed strategic gameplay remain the same, Sting is promising new features, including new units, more tactics cards, attacks that make use of your pirate ship, and more. We'll likely be getting specifics on these areas over the coming weeks and months.

Gloria Union is due for release on June 23, priced ¥6,279. The official site mentions an optional data install of 406 megabytes.
