PlayStation 3 Custom Themes Net Nearly 110 Million Yen for Quake Relief
PlayStation 3 owners are together among the top contributors to relief efforts following the March 11 Tohoku region earthquake and tsunami. Sony has been offering charity custom themes for PlayStation 3 in forty countries and regions throughout the world over the past few weeks, and as of March 31 this program has earned 109.6 million yen, Sony announced today.
The custom themes were sold in North America and Europe starting March 19 and Japan and Asia starting March 24. Sony will be donating the proceeds to the Red Cross in North America and Europe and Red Feather for Japan and Asia.
