Sony Makes PSP go Death Official

Company announces end of production and shipments for troubled hardware.

Audio Visual information website Phileweb is reporting that Sony Computer Entertainment Japan has formally announced an end to production and shipments for the PSP go. The site says that future sales for the system will be limited to current stock.

Sony Computer Entertainment Japan has attached "shipment ended" notices to the PSP go listings at PlayStation.com.

The little text in red to the left says shipments have ended.

Word of PSP go's death came a few days back as the product disappeared from the index pages at Sony's online shop. A supposed Sony Shop employee wrote at his blog yesterday that Sony had confirmed no future shipments for the device.
