The Last Guardian Delayed
Long awaited next title from creators of Ico and Shadow of the Colossus will miss 2011 release time frame.
Sony has announced a delay for The Last Guardian, the next game from the makers of ICO and Shadow of the Colossus.
At last year's Tokyo Game Show, the company said the game would be released in 2011. Today, the company said that it has delayed the game from this time frame.
Sony currently lists the game as date TBA, but promises a new date announcement as soon as possible.
The company did not give a specific reason for the delay, only citing "production reasons."

Team Ico head Fumito Ueda shared an English message about the delay at the PlayStation Europe blog:
"I announced at last year’s Tokyo Game Show that the release timing of The Last Guardian which is currently being developed would be holiday 2011.
However, to provide more challenging and better quality of content to users and to fulfill First Party Studio’s obligations, I decided to postpone its release timing.
All the members of my production team are working together at a fast pace to develop and release the game in First Party Studio quality.
I sincerely apologize to all the customers who have been waiting for “The Last Guardian” for so long, but I beg for your patience. I will also announce the new release timing at a later time."
While Sony Japan did not issue a statement about this, the PlayStation Europe blog also reports that ICO an Shadow of the Colossus Collection have been delayed past their Spring release time frames.
