Asian PSN Restarting Tomorrow
Partial service joined by Welcome Back pack that includes free games and other bonuses.
Sony has at long last announced a final restart date for PlayStation Network in Japan and Asian territories.
Starting tomorrow (5/28), gamers in Japan, Taiwan, Singapore, Malasia, Indonesia and Thailand will see service gradually resumed for both PSN and Qriocity. The initial phase will include the following:
- Sign-in and password change for PSN and Qriocity
- Friend Category functionality -- Friend List, Chat, and Trophy
- PS3 and PSP online play
- PlayStation Home
- Torne's network functionality
Sony will be offering a "Welcome Back" goodie package to players in Japan and Asia. For Japan-based players, the package includes the following items:
PS3 owners will be able to select two free titles from the following five games
- The Last Guy
- Loco Roco!! BuuBuu Cocoreccho!
- Echochrome
- Wipeout HD
- Hustler King
PSP owners will be able to select two titles from the following five games.
- Yuusha no Kuse ni Namaikida or2 (What Did I Do to Deserve This, My Lord!? 2)
- Minna no Sukkiri
- Patapon 2
- LittleBigPlanet Portable
- LocoRoco Midnight Carnival
Joining these free games, Sony will give all PSN users 30 free days of PlayStation Plus and 30 free days of Platinum membership in Weekly Toro Station. (If you must know...).
Other bonuses include a special free Personal Space for PlayStation Home and free video rentals for all PSN and Qriocity users. Details on these two gifts will be announced later.
