Monster Hunter Diary G Release Date Pushed Up!
PSP sequel arriving two weeks in advance complete with a massive(ly cute) bonus item.
Monster Hunter Diary G has joined that small family of titles that benefit from an early release rather than suffering from a delay. The PSP sequel was previously announced for release on August 25. Today, Capcom said that the game will arrive on August 10 instead. Pricing remains unchanged at ¥3,990.
As reason for the early release, Capcom said that it wanted to deliver the game as quickly as possible to players.
The new date was accompanied by a couple of other release details. Capcom will be making a download version available day in with the retail version. This is priced ¥3,600.
Capcom also revealed a couple of bonus goodies. All buyers will receive a product code for downloading a custom theme. This will also be given to buyers of the download version.
Buyers of the retail version will be able to enter into a raffle to win a "My Melody Felyne Super Huge Stuffed Animal." In celebration of the game's tie-up with Sanrio's My Melody franchise, this bonus stands 60 centimeters tall. Capcom did not say how many would be given away.
Those who buy the game from e-Capcom will receive a special strap designed in the image of a Felyne tail.
In other Monster Hunter news, Capcom announced today a release date for Monster Hunter Portable 3rd HD. This is arriving on Monster Hunter Diary G's previous August 25 release date. For details, see this story.
