More Phantom Kingdom and Disgaea 4 Details
Lots of big news for Nippon Ichi fans today!
A few more details on the two Nippon Ichi games that were announced in Dengeki PlayStation have surfaced via a detailed summary at Sokuho@Hokanko.
Phantom Kingdom Portable, a PSP version of PS2's Phantom Kingdom (or Makai Kingdom) is due out on September 22, priced ¥5040 in standard form, ¥7,140 in limited form, and ¥4,000 as a download. Nippon Ichi will be including the PS2 version's art book and original soundtrack as bonus items.
The PSP version has some new features over the PS2 version. Dengeki introduces an unnamed young girl who has red pig tails and a short cape. She will appear in a new scenario called "Papa is the Strongest Demon King."
There will be other new characters and game elements as well, but details are currently being kept under wraps.
In our earlier story, we said the PSP port will have scenarios about the Varbatose and Fenrihi characters. This is not in Sokuho's writeup, so we may have been mistaken.
Regarding PS3's Disgaea 4 update, there are actually two updates to look forward to. The first is a download scenario focused on the Varbatose character. This is due on August 31. The Sokuho summary does not say if it will be paid DLC or if it will be free.
The second is the download scenario that we mentioned earlier: Disgaea 4: Fuuka and Desco-hen Hajimemashita. Due for October 27 release, this four chapter expansion will be available as a ¥2,000 download but will also be sold as a pre-order only append disc priced ¥4,179. Those who buy the append disc will get a Desco figure. Nippon Ichi will also release a full package consisting of Disgaea 4 and the expansion. This will be priced ¥6,090.
