From Rune Factory Oceans on PS3 and Wii.

The Rune Factory series is making its way to the 3DS with Rune Factory 4. Famitsu has first details this week on the sequel, which is being developed, as one might expect, by Neverland Company.

Players will be given choice of male or female main character at the start of the game. The male lead is Lest (voiced by Kouki Uchiyama). The female lead is Frey (voiced by Chiwa Saito).

Other voice actors confirmed for the game include Ayana Taketatsu, Aoi Yuuki, Hitomi Nabatame, Tomokazu Sugita, Daisuke Namikawa, and Kosuke Toriumi. We'll learn about their in-game counterparts in future updates.

Only a few details about the game have leaked out ahead of Famitsu's release (the magazine doesn't hit until tomorrow). The game will apparently have improved love elements. Producer Yoshifumi Hashimoto promises some heart-warming situations with your in-game counterpart. He describes these as "quite embarrassing."

Rune Factory 4 is due for 3DS release through Marvelous Entertainment some time this year.
