Overseas Games Dominate Media Create Charts

L.A. Noire and Infamous 2 top the charts. Wii Play successor debuts at five.

Top developers like Hideo Kojima offered pre-release praise for L.A. Noire, which also scored highly in Famitsu.

L.A. Noire and Infamous 2 topped this week's Media Create sales charts. And immediately below them were the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of Earth Defense Force Insect Armageddon, an overseas-developed entry in the EDF franchise.

There were a few homegrown debuts in the top 20, though. Nintendo's Wii Play spiritual successor Wiimote Plus Variety Pack came in at 5 in its first week. Class of Heroes 3D and Haruhi Suzumiya Mahjong also debuted in the top 20.

3DS saw a drop from last week, once again switching positions with PSP, which took back first place. PS3 managed to sell fewer hardware units this week despite having the top three titles.
