Wii Rhythm Heaven Tops the Charts
Nintendo rhythm game beats Sengoku Basara and No More Heroes.
A Wii game came out on top in another week packed with releases. For the period of July 18 through July 24, newcomer Minna no Rhythm Heaven was the top selling game with 118,173 units. It easily beat Sengoku Basara Chronicles on PSP and the 18-and-up No More Heroes Red Zone Edition on PS3.
Other newcomers in the top 20 Media Create chart include Noora and the Time Studio, a DS title from the original makers of the Atelier series and western titles Alice Madness Returns and Sniper Ghost Warrior.

As appears to often be the case for major console releases these days, Wii's success with software did not translate to success with hardware. The system saw a small boost, but remained below PS3. In the portable race, 3DS saw a major drop from last week, but still managed to claim the top spot.
