Japan's first PSP Remaster game will be Monster Hunter Portable 3rd HD, which hits later this month. The second PSP to PS3 remake will have a more western taste. Famitsu reveals this week that Sony will release God of War Origins Collection to Japan on October 6, just a bit delayed from its September 13 US release.

First announced at E3 in June, God of War Origins Collection is a PS3 remake of the two PSP God of War games, Chains of Olympus and Ghost of Sparta. The games have been upped to high definition visuals, stereoscopic 3D, 60 frames per second, and Trophy support.

Unlike MHP3rd HD, which is Blu-ray only, Origins Collection will be available in both retail and download form. The retail version will be priced ¥5,980 and will include a one hour staff interview as a bonus feature. The download version will cost ¥4,900 for the full set, or ¥2,700 for each title separately.
