Square Enix Tokyo Game Show Map Shows Mystery Area
Could a new game be unveiled next week?
Square Enix has shared a map of its booth for this year's Tokyo Game Show.
The Production Dept. 1 section, also known as the Nomura section, is in the upper left, with playable Final Fantasy Type-0, Final Fantasy XIII-2, Kingdom Hearts 3D and Theatrhythm. Itadaki Street, Slime Mori Mori Dragon Quest and a section for the Dragon Quest 25th Anniversary are to the lower right.
All those Ubisoft games to the lower left are in the booth because Ubisoft is a Square Enix partner company. Square Enix distributes Ubisoft's games in Japan.
Of course, the real attraction is the Open Mega Theater. That's where Square Enix will be gathering the press on the first day of the show to outline its upcoming Smartphone and SNS gaming plans.
Actually, the real, real attraction is that ??? area. It's circular and purple! What could it be?
It wouldn't be unheard of for Square Enix to make a last minute announcement just ahead of TGS. This is how we first learned of Dissidia Duodecim Final Fantasy last year.
