Falcom Raises Earnings Forecasts Due to Strong Legend of Heroes Orders
It's no secret that Falcom has a major hit on its hands with The Legend of Heroes Ao no Kiseki. Today, the publisher provided something a bit more official than the previous Tweets on the matter: it raised its earnings forecasts.
For the current fiscal year, which for Falcom runs October 1, 2010 through September 30, 2011, Falcom expects sales of 1.52 billion yen. This is up from a previous forecast of 1.25 billion yen. The company expects increased operating profits, from the original forecast of 200 million yen to 500 million yen.
The company cited strong orders of Ao no Kiseki as reason for the revision, but it also said that Legend of Heroes Sora no Kiseki and Ys Seven have continued to sell well.
