Yuji Naka, Noritaka Funamizu Unveil New Mobile Social Games

Marvelous AQL has some big names working on a series of social mobile games. Joining our look from earlier in the day at No More Heroes for Mobage, which is being developed by Suda 51 and Grasshopper Manufacture, here's what Sonic the Hedgehog's Yuji Naka and Street Fighter's Noritaka Funamizu are working on.

Naka and his development studio Prope are developing Buddy Monster, which Marvelous says will be the biggest social RPG ever for smartphones. Players mount a monster and head off on hunts through large fields of play. The game promises to couple monster hunting mechanics with monster growth mechanics.

Funamizu and his development studio Crafts & Meister are working on Combokimaru, a fighting game that can be played with one hand. The game is all about creating combos by touching.

Marvelous did not share final release details for either game today. Both will be available for play on iOS and Android.
