PlayStation Vita Ninja Gaiden Sigma Due in February

Vita version adds touch controls and new Hero Mode.

PlayStation Vita's early 2012 lineup is slowly filling up. Joining the February 9 release date for Acquire's Sumioni, we have a general time frame of February 2012 for the Vita version of Ninja Gaiden Sigma, officially titled Ninja Gaiden Sigma Plus. Weekly Famitsu reveals the time frame and a price of ¥6090 for the game's retail version.

Famitsu also has a full preview of the game, showing a couple of Vita specific features. You'll be able to use the rear touch screen to power up your ninpo moves. The Vita version also adds a new "Hero Mode," which sounds like it should actually be a "ninja dog" mode as you're assisted with auto guard and auto evasion when your life runs low.

With Ninja Gaiden Sigma Plus, Vita's post launch lineup now includes:

  • 1/19: Wipeout 2048
  • 1/26: Tales of Innocence R
  • 2/2: Ragnarok Odyssey
  • 2/9: Gravity Daze
  • 2/9: Sumioni
  • 2/16: Gyokugen Dasshutsu Adv Zennin Shiboudes
