Dragon Quest X won't be playable at this year's Jump Festa (this is somewhat of a surprise, since DQIX made its playable debut at the event). However, we will get an update on the game.
Square Enix updated the DQX official site today with details on a Jump Festa stage event. The stage event will be held twice a day at 12:00 and 15:00 in the Open Megatheater area of Square Enix's booth on both days of the show.
The stage will consist of V Jump editor Saito quizzing the game's staff, including Jin Fujizawa and Yosuke Saito. Dragon Quest series mastermind Yuji Horii will also appear at the event, but only for the last showing (15:00 on the 18th).
Attendees will also be able to a take part in a raffle to win Dragon Quest 25th anniversary goods and special invites to the DQX beta test.
It looks like Square Enix is expecting a crowd for this event, as they're requiring that interested parties pick up tickets in advance. Be sure and get to the Square Enix booth early! (If you don't have a ticket, you'll still get to watch, but you'll have to stand).
Jump will be held on the 17th and 18th at the Makuhari Messe convention center just outside Tokyo.
