PlayStation Vita just got a major boost in the adventure/visual novel genre. Kadokawa Shoten announced today that the PSP version of Steins;Gate will support Sony's UMD Passport program. Owners of the UMD version will be able to obtain a download copy for a mere ¥1,000.

There's just one slight problem: the game doesn't have a download version yet. Kadokawa will be rectifying that too. The game's download version will be available on the 21st at ¥3,990.

(Yes, this means owners of the UMD version will have to wait a few days to play on the Vita.)
