Square Enix Members Hacking Case: No Personal Data Leaked

Square Enix provided an update today on the hacking case that has left its Square Enix Members user site closed since the 13th.

The company has determined that the database containing personal data for users was not hacked. This means that no personal data was leaked out.

Previously, the company had said that data for at least 1.8 million accounts may have leaked out, but there was no worry about credit card information.

Service at the Square Enix Members site will be restored by the end of the year.
