Odd that Famitsu's list doesn't have Cosmic Fantasy II...

Read Famitsu.com's story for comments from responders. Sample responses included:

  • Crisis Core Final Fantasy VII: One person said he was moved when he first realized that Final fantasy VII could not have been told without Zach. Another person said that when you see the last scene, which connects to FFVII, if you know the fate that awaits the characters in FFVII, you have to cry.
  • Final Fantasy VII: One person said he was moved by the characters slowly overcoming the sadness at having lost an important person.
  • Final Fantasy XIII: "First off, the story was excellent. It was truly good enough to be a movie."
  • Okami: "If you didn't cry at the end, you're not Japanese."

A few games didn't make the top 20 list, but were included in the response section:

  • Air
  • Persona 4
  • Genso Suikoden 2
  • Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Explorers of Time and Explorers of Darkness
  • Muv-Luv and Muv-Luv Alternative
  • Ever17 The Out of Infinity
  • L@ve Once Mermaid's Tears (that's pronounced Love at Once)
  • Championship Lode Runner
