Grasshopper Manufacturer's Lollipop Chainsaw is so violent that publisher Kadokawa Games has decided tone down its Japanese release, unless you're willing to pay extra.
Dengeki PlayStation reveals this week that the game's standard version will carry a CERO D rating. This is one step below the Z rating the most violent games like Grand Theft Auto get.
There will be a Z rated version too, though. Buy the Premium Edition, and you'll be able to toggle between Z and D ratings.
It's unclear if the Premium Edition has any other goodies. We've heard some reports that the price may be the same between the two versions, so it's possible the premium in the Premium Edition is just the added gore.
The Japanese version of Lollipop Chainsow will also give players the options for English or Japanese voices.
