GREE Opens Development Studio in Osaka

We've heard plenty about GREE's development offices outside of Japan. Today, the social gaming giant announced the formation of a studio within Japan.

GREE will open a development studio in Osaka in March of this year. This will be the company's first domestic development studio outside of Tokyo. GREE does have offices in Okinawa and Hokkaido, but these are Site Patrol Centers.

Osaka is just the start of GREE's domestic development plans. Studios in other regions will follow, the company said It also noted that it plans on hiring engineers to work at the various studios.

GREE also has subsidiaries in eight countries, including America, Korea, Singapore and England.
