THQ Japan will be ending its publishing business and closing its doors on February 29, according to a report from Impress Watch. All staff will be leaving the company at the end of the month.
The publisher is taking these measures due to the poor financial outlook of its North American parent.
It's unclear what this means for future THQ games in Japan. Prior to THQ's start of self publishing in Japan, it licensed its games to local companies like Spike.
