Sega and Index announced today that they have formed a partnership regarding the distribution of games under the Atlus brand. Starting in April, Sega will serve as distributor of package games from Atlus.
Atlus, known for games like Persona and Catherine, was absorbed into parent company Index in October 2010. Index refers to Atlus as its consumer games brand.
In a statement issued to the press today, the two companies said that they hope to expand sales of Atlus games by making full use of Sega's domestic distribution network.
Sega already serves as distributor for 50 companies in and out of Japan. Its distribution network will include around 150 titles this fiscal year.
