Microsoft Celebrates Xbox 10th Anniversary With Free Games and Kinect Hotel Stays

The original Xbox was released to Japan on February 22, 2002. That's right, we're almost at the ten year mark for the Xbox brand in Japan, and Microsoft will be celebrating through a couple of campaigns.

As detailed at a special site Microsoft opened today, the Xbox 10th anniversary campaign includes two components:

Kinect Hotel Stay
Microsoft wants fans to Tweet their memories of their favorite Xbox or Xbox 360 games via direct message to @Xbox_JP. Five submitters will be selected for a night stay at suite at the fabulous Hilton Tokyo Bay in Odaiba. Microsoft has equipped the rooms with Kinect so that you can spend your night in Odaiba playing Kinect games. Tweets will be accepted through the 26th.
300,000 Xbox Live Arcade Games
Microsoft will be giving out 300,000 free Xbox Live Arcade games on a first come first serve basis. Games on offer include Lode Runner, Snoopy Flying Ace and The Maw. You'll just need to fill out a form that will be linked to at this page starting February 22.
