Namco Bandai is churning out the PlayStation 3 hybrid discs. A few weeks back, we got first word of hybrid discs based off Macross Do You Remember Love and .hack//Sekai no Mukou ni. This week's Famitsu has first mention of hybrid discs based off Lagrange: The Flower of Rin-ne and Eureka Seven AO.
Hybrid discs combine Blu-ray anime or movie content with a game. Namco Bandai has previously released such discs for Macross, Idolmaster and Tekken.
The game component varies in genre. The Macross games are all flight combat games. Idolmaster is a photography game where you shoot pics of the girls. The upcoming .hack game is a fighting game.
We're not sure what types of games Namco Bandai is planning for these two new Hybrid discs. We're also waiting for release information.
The new titles appear to have been announced as part of an interview with Namco Bandai VP Shin Unozawa, so it's possible that details will be scarce for now.
