PlayStation 3 owners have an actual Hatsune Miku game to look forward to next year through a version of PlayStation Vita's Hatsune Miku Project Diva F. But before that, the virtual idol will appear in HD once again through an all new "Dreamy Theater" release.
Sega previously released "Dreamy Theater" expansions for PSP's Hastune Miku Project Diva and Hatsune Miku Project Diva 2nd. These downloadable PS3 apps connect with the PSP Miku games to allow for play on the television, in HD. They require a PSP and a copy of the PSP game to work.
As you might have expected, the new Dreamy Theater is for PSP's Hatsune Miku Project Diva Extend, a powered up version of Hatsune Miku Project Diva 2nd that was released last year. Titled Hatsune Miku Project Diva Dreamy Theater Extend, the PS3 title once again requires a copy of the PSP game and a PSP in order to play. Similar to the second Dream Theater game, you'll be able to copy your save data over on your first play.
A release is planned for Summer. Famitsu, which has a first look at the game this week, does not list pricing, but Sega charged ¥3,900 for the previous versions.
