Want to take over post human Tokyo as a kangaroo or panda? Then you'll need to pick up your copy of Tokyo Jungle from the appropriate retailer.
Sony is preparing retail separate bonuses for the game. While we were all hoping to see our favorite animals on telephone cards sporting bikinis, Sony is planning something more appropriate.
Depending on where you buy, you'll get a different animal as a bonus character. Buy from Amazon, and you'll get a crocodile. Buy from Joshin, and you'll get something called a "Boss Cat."
Panda lovers will have to buy from Geo. Kangaroo lovers can choose from Sofmap, Bic Camera or Yodobashi Camera.
There's still hope that these animals can be unlocked through standard play, so all may not be lost for those without access to one of these retailers.
Famitsu and Dengeki PlayStation both reviewed Tokyo Jungle this week. Dengeki's four reviewers scored the game 85, 90, 80 and 70 (max score 100). Famitsu's review crew awarded it 8, 8, 8 and 8 (max score 10).
Famitsu listed a 30 minute to one hour play time for your survival mode play sessions. To learn the full story behind humanity's disappearance, you'll need to play for about 20 hours.
