Nintendo's Kirby 20th Anniversary compilation for Wii is mostly just a collection of old games. Mostly. There is some new content on the disc, Weekly Famitsu reveals in this week's issue.
As detailed earlier, Kirby's 20th Anniversary Special Collection includes six classic Kirby games: Kirby's Dream Land (Gameboy), Kirby's Adventure (Famicom/NES), Kirby's Dream Land 2 (Gameboy), Kirby Super Star (Super Famicom/SNES), Kirby's Dream Land 3 (Super Famicom/SNES) and Kirby 64 (Nintendo 64).
The biggest of the new elements is "Motto Challenge Stage," or "More Challenge Stage." Based off a mode of play from last year's Kirby Wii, More Challenge Stage has players try for the score while making use of particular copy abilities. Examples include "Sword Challenge" and "Fighter Death Match." The game includes over 10 stages.
The other new piece of content is something we mentioned in our earlier report. The game includes an on-disc calendar recapping the Kirby series. This mode is titled "Kirby History" and it includes not just the Kirby games, but manga, anime and other products.
Other bonuses include a booklet featuring artwork and a look back at the series, and a soundtrack with classic Kirby sounds.
