Pokemon, Atelier Ayesha Top the Charts; Vita Gets Minor Bump from Crystal White
Famitsu.com posted Enterbrain's weekly sales totals earlier than usual today, providing an advance glimpse at sales for the week of June 25 through July 1.
Pokemon Black & White 2 (DS) was once again the top seller, with 416,850 units bringing its two week total to 2,035,471 units.
Atelier Ayesha (PS3) was the top new release in a week full of new releases, debuting with 75,874 units, good for second place.
In third was the PS3 version of Robotics;Notes, 5pb.'s latest "science" themed adventure game, with a debut total of 57,797 units. The Xbox 360 version debuted in ninth place with 17,076 units.
Culdcept (3DS) debuted in fourth place with 54,086 units, besting a long seller, Dragon Quest Monsters Terry's Wonderland 3D (3DS), which sold 43,648 units. DQM's total since May 31 is now 787,615 units.
Closing out the top ten were Resident Evil Chronicles HD Selection (PS3) in sixth with 28,042 units, Fatal Frame 2 (Wii) in seventh with 24,804 units, Metal Gear Solid HD Edition (Vita) in eighth with 23,586 units, and .hack Sekai no Mukou ni + Versus Hybrid Pack (PS3) in tenth with 16,664 units. These were all new releases.
.hack is the latest PS3 hybrid disc from Namco Bandai. It includes the .hack Sekai no Mukou ni movie and a fighting game, .hack//Versus. Another hybrid pack, Vol.9 of the Idolmaster Anime & G4U! series, debuted in eleventh place this week with 14,086 units.
In hardware, 3DS was the top seller with 65,267 units. PlayStation Vita came in second with 22,638 units, a big leap from the week prior (Media Create reported around 13,000 units). Vita's minor surge may have been due to the release of the new Crystal White color variation as well as Metal Gear Solid HD.
