Nippon Ichi Talks 20th Anniversary Projects
Plus, where in the world is The Witch and the Hundred Soldiers?
This week's Famitsu has a feature on Nippon Ichi's 20th anniversary lineup. Included in the feature are some hints about Project Arcadia, Project D and a game that's gone under the radar for almost half a year, The Witch and the Hundred Soldiers.
The Witch and the Hundred Soldiers is a PlayStation 3 RPG from the Prinny team. It was originally scheduled for release on June 28, but was delayed in March. We've heard little since then.
Famitsu's update from CEO Sohei Shinkawa reveals the reason the game is taking so long. Apparently, the development staff had little experience with 3D, causing some hurdles. Shinkawa assures that the game is progressing. He hopes to have it out during the company's 20th anniversary festivities. As a next update, he hopes to share a video.
Regarding the other two titles, Shinkawa said that Project Arcadia is something that can be played in short bits. The identity of Project D isn't far off from what people have been guessing, he teased. We won't have to wait too long for a full announcement of Project D.
