No Kinect Support For Xbox 360 DoDonPachi Saidaioujou

No hands-free shooting this time.

The first thing you probably wondered when you heard that Cave was porting DoDonPachi Saidaioujou to Xbox 360 was will there be Kinect support?

Okay, so maybe you weren't wonder that, but just in case you were, Cave's Makoto Asada said in the latest issue of Famitsu Xbox 360 that the game will not have Kinect support. Cave decided against Kinect support out of cost considerations and concerns about just how many people in Japan actually want such support.

For a look at how one might play DoDonPachi using Kinect, see this story about the DoDonPach mini game that was included with Cave's Xbox 360 adventure game Instant Brain.

The Xbox 360 port's development is currently just at the point of writing down the specifications, Asada also told the magazine. We can count on all the expected elements to make it into the game, he promised.

As announced earlier this week, DoDonPachi Saidaioujou will be released on Xbox 360 in Spring 2013.
