Nintendo CEO Says No "Conference" For Japanese Wii U Details
Company has other plans for Wii U announcement.
Given past announcement patterns, many were expecting that Nintendo would announce details on the Japanese Wii U launch at some sort of September press conference, held either before Tokyo Game Show or after. It seems that this won't be the case.
CEO Satoru Iwata wrote the following at Nintendo's official Twitter today: "It seems that there are quite a few who are forecasting that Nintendo has a September conference. We're letting you know that the Japanese Wii U announcements will be made through something other than a conference."
Nintendo held its latest Nintendo Direct broadcast yesterday, but said in advance that Wii U information would not be shared during the broadcast. Sure enough, the broadcast was focused entirely on 3DS.
