Microsoft's Xbox Classics library got a new yesterday with the release of Jade Empire for the service. The classic original generation Xbox title can be downloaded now from Xbox Live Marketplace for 1,200 MS Points.

Developed by Mass Effect developer Bioware, Jade Empire is an action RPG that made a name for itself with its strong character customization and combat systems. The game was originally released to Japan on June 16, 2005.

With this game, the Classics library has now reached nine titles. Other titles available for the service include Halo, Crimson Sky: High Road to Revenge, Magatama, Fable, Puyo Puyo Fever, Ninja Gaiden Black, Splinter Cell Chaos Theory, and Guilty Gear XX # Reload.
