Flood of download content closes out July and kicks off August

 

Sony has been unveiling new downloads for the PlayStation Network today. For those who are having trouble keeping up with all the new games, demos and download content for July and beyond, Famitsu.com provided a full summary. Here's a summary of their summary.

New games for the service include three titles:

  • The Last Guy Premium (500 yen)
  • PixelJunk Eden (900 yen)
  • Bionic Commando Rearmed (1200 yen)

All three will be available on July 31.

Download content available tomorrow includes new a new set of paid items for Mainichi Issyo, Vol.3 of the Minna no Golf costume set (600 yen), and a free car expansion pack for Initial D Extreme Stage. The service will also see free 2008 Summer themes and wallpapers for Street Fighter IV.

On Friday, Disgaea 3 will get a set of character related downloads ranging from free to 200 yen. On the 31st, Soul Calibur IV will be released to retail along side customization parts, music downloads, and wallpapers ranging from free to 1,500 yen. Initial D Extreme Stage will get a 320 car pack the next day. One week later, on 8/7, Vampire Rain will get its first add-on combat character at 300 yen.

Joining all the new content are Game Archive releases of Dice de Chocobo, Chocobo Stallion, Grill Logic, Yamasa Digi Selection, and Arkanoid Returns. Playable on both the PS3 and PSP, the 600 yen PlayStation classics are available for download today.
