Arcade goers might have taken note today of House of the Dead cabinets covered in hearts and bright colors. That's most likely not a vandalized version of House of the Dead 4, but the newly released The House of the Dead EX.

The latest entry in Sega's zombie blasting series hit arcades today. Fully titled Aisareru yori Aishitai: The House of the Dead EX (the Japanese translates to "Rather Love than Be Loved"), the game offers a different take on the series. Players make use both a gun controller and a foot pedal controller to work through a series of mini games.

The game has a love theme, with a story following the exploits of Zobiko and Zobio, a pair of zombies who fall in love with one-another and attempt to escape from prison. Sega encourages couples and friends to play together.
