Microsoft Pushes Forza 3

Bonus car packs and a chance to try racing on a three screen setup.

Forza Motorsport 3 hits here on October 22. Wondering what cars are included in the game? Microsoft was good enough to provide a list of 400 vehicles today.

I'm not going to transcribe the thing. Interested parties can see it for themselves at the Froza official site (This is the Japanese official site, but the list is totally in English).

This was just one of three announcements Microsoft made today for what some are calling the best driving game since sliced bread.

The bonus item.

Microsoft also provided a look at a Download Card that will be included with every copy of the game:

Using this card, players will be able to connect to Xbox Live starting 10/22 and download a car pack and two course packs.

The car pack includes:

  • '65 Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GTA
  • '64 Aston Martin DB5 Vantage
  • '81 BMW M1
  • '60 Chevrolet Corvette
  • '69 Dodge Charger
  • '57 Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa
  • '80 Fiat 131 Abarth
  • '67 Lamborghini Miura P400
  • '71 Nissan Skyline 2000 GT-R
  • '65 Shelby Cobra Daytona Coupe

The two course packs are Sidewinder Proving Grounds Course Pack, which includes 18 popular courses from Forza 1 & 2, and the Benchmark High Speed Ring Course Pack, which includes 12 courses that allow you to test 'em physics.

Today's other announcement is a promotion for the game. Starting October 16, Microsoft will be taking Forza 3 on a retail demo tour. Some of the demo stops offer a standard one screen racing experience, but a few will allow players to experience Forza 3 on a three screen display setup.

You can see a full schedule of retail stops at 4Gamer.
