The latest Dragon Quest series offshoot.

The rankings page has been updated with Media Create's sales data covering April 26 through May 2.

This pre-Golden Week sales period saw some major debuts for all platforms, but Dragon Quest Monsters Joker 2 came out on top with over 600,000 first week sales. It beat Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker's 434,000 units.

Both versions of Super Street Fighter IV placed in the top 10, although the PS3 version outsold the 360 version 3 to 1. Capcom previously announced that worldwide first shipments for the game topped one million units.

Other debuts making the top 30 included Splinter Cell Conviction and Ikki Tousen Xross Impact. Nintendo's internet search-themed Wii title And-Kensaku was also released over the week as Nintendo's big pre-Golden Week game, but failed to crack even the top 30.
