Hideo Kojima Working With 5pb. CEO On New Adventure Game

What happens with the Metal Gear creator teams up with the sexiest CEO in gaming?

Chiyomaru Shikura is CEO of game and music publisher 5pb. He's quite the looker. Some have even gone so far as to label him the most attractive CEO in video games.

There were some rumors a while back that Shikura was going out with Asami Imai, who's done voice work in an unfathomable number of games.

Shikura is about to become known throughout the world for more than just his good looks and his voice actress scandals, though. Based off a new interview at 4gamer, it seems that Shikura is working with none-other-than Hideo "Metal Gear Solid" Kojima on a new adventure game.

Back in May, Shikura posted a Tweet suggesting that a lunch meeting with Hideo Kojima, Kojima Productions producer Kenichiro Imaizumi, and Grasshopper Manufacturer CEO Suda 51 had resulted in the plan for a new adventure game. For those who didn't believe that he was meeting with the Metal Gear and Killer 7 creators, Shikura shared a pic of the meeting:

All went silent until today, when 4gamer posted an interview with Shikura.

4gamer asked Shikura if he could announce anything about 5pb's future projects. Replied Shikura, "With regards to the projects that I'm directly involved in, there's the third entry in that science series, and the project with Konami's Hideo Kojima. I think these are the two things that I should first put my full effort behind."

"Kojima is making an adventure game?" asked 4gamer. Responded Shikura, "Yes, Kojima said that he wanted to make an adventure game. We're still at the level of 'let's lock ourselves away in the mountains somewhere and work on the plot,' so the specifics haven't been finalized."

Asked if Kojima's participation means that the resulting project will be science fiction, Shikura said that he couldn't respond and asked that the site directly ask Kojima.

Later in the interview, Shikura made some comments that suggest this new project will result in something different from the company's fortes of "gal game" style adventure games. Said Shikura , "I personally love adventure games. To be honest, I'm not focused on gal games. I even think that it would be okay to have a classic style adventure game boom with nothing to do with bishojo or pretty boys."

Mention of Hideo Kojima in connection with an adventure game likely causes fans to think of Policenauts or Snatcher, both classic adventure games that Kojima worked on in between Metal Gear and Metal Gear Solid.

Whatever project Shikura is speaking about, it's probably separate from the game Kojima recently said may end up being Metal Gear Solid 5.
